Naomi House and Chestnut Tree House are our nearest Children’s Hospices.

“A children’s hospice is a place of love, understanding and caring, a place of fun, laughter, hope, friendship and, yes sometimes sadness. Most of all a children’s hospice is a place for living.”

They provide palliative care for children with life limited and life threatening illnesses.
Respite care is offered for families of children and psychological and emotional therapy is available for the whole family. Sibling support and pre and post bereavement counselling are offered both within the hospice and within the work offered by the Community team who works with families in their own homes. Terminal care is offered by the hospices.

A hospice costs approximately £1.25 million per annum to run. Families are not charged for their care and the hospices receive less than 4% of their funding from the government. They rely therefore, almost completely on the generosity help and support of the general public.

Welcome From Havant Rotary President David Hopkins.

I think that we all can agree that to lose a child is one of the hardest things for any family to cope with.

The Hospice organisation do an excellent job in not only caring for the child that is ill but also the whole family.

In the last 50 years we have we have worked with most local charities and we felt that the most appropriate way to celebrate our golden Jubilee as a club is to involve the whole community in such a worthwhile project.

Please help us to raise as much money as possible.

If you are planning an event let us know by completeing our short form and we will try and help with some publicity.
